Week 48  (10/21/19) First Week in New Area 😊

Hello Family & Friends!

Emma was not able to send an email this week. She was able to tell us a little about her new area. First, she is not allowed to take photos. Due to the area, it’s recommended not to carry a camera that may allow her to be a target for theft.

Also, her new companion is from the Amazon which is 3 days by boat to go to the temple. We are privileged to only travel 15 minutes by car, how blessed we are to be so close to the house of the Lord.

She is looking forward to many miracles in her new area. She is excited to live in a larger city that offers a few more amenities than her last area. She asked us all to keep her in our prayers, as we are in hers. 

We are looking forward to communicating with her next Monday and hope that she can send us an email to share with everyone.

Week 47  (10/14/19) New Area and New Companion 😊

Hello Family & Friends!

This past week was busy, trying to finish up transfers and being prepared for the next week. I was transferred to the heart of the mission "Riberaio Preto" I was really excited, but everyone I spoke to said it was Super Hot!!,  lets just say they they were right!! YIKES but it is ok :)

This city is Enormous! It was super hard to leave Sister Costa after 12 weeks together, but I'm excited for my new companion Sister Almeida. She is from the Amazon so she is accustomed to the heat, LOL.  I knew her from a previous district I served in.   This transfer will be of many miracles and I am looking forward to growing in all aspects. 

I sent many photos of my last area, I loved the members in Araraquara. I had an amazing ward. I will try to include their names next week in my letter. My time is up, Love you all and hope you have a great week !!

Week 46  (10/7/19) Phone Call Only 😊

Hello Family & Friends!

We had the wonderful opportunity to speak to Sister Pierce. We are so happy that we could finally hear & see her at the same time!  It has been almost 6 weeks since we have able to talk without any technical issues. 

We apologize that we got lost in our conversation and her time was up. She was not able to send us an email and or photos. However, we were delighted to hear from some of the members in her area. They were able to send us photos and share with us how happy they were to have Sister Pierce in their area. 

Before we ended our conversation, Emma confirmed her testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She shared how much she is grateful for a living prophet and apostles. We spent much of our time talking about some of the exciting announcements of new temples and how much we are looking forward to the next General Conference that will be a significant milestone in the restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Next April it will be 200 years since our Heavenly Father and his Son Jesus Christ appeared to Joseph Smith in the sacred Grove.

Emma wanted us to let everyone know how much she appreciates everyone of you and asked for you to keep her in your prayers. We are not sure if we will be able to hear from her next week since transfers are this weekend and she has been in this area for three transfers already.
