Hi Family & Friends,
I'm sad we were not able to talk this week. Its the little things back home in life (like good computers and internet)we take for granted when you don't have access to being in a different country.
"I am so happy when
we share the gospel with others, we learn more! This is the lords way
of helping us comprehend his gospel" by President Nelson
How
true this quote is. I thought I knew the gospel before I left for my mission,
but being here, has really helped me realize just how simple the gospel Is.
Its so simple even a child can understand it. The same goes for our lives.
Think for a moment, are there things in my life that I need to simplify?
Being
here in Brasil, has helped me to see that we don't REALLY need all the things we
have. Like having a toilet seat, lol. Or a fridge that is taller than you? How
about having a clothes dryer? Things these are all wonderful, and they are simple acts
of how good we have it. And they help us to have a comfortable life. But when
was the last time you thanked God for the small things in your life?
I
promise you when you thank Him for these things, you will see how much your
life has been blessed, and he will continue to bless your life. It
is also a commandment to read the Scriptures and pray. When you do these
BASIC things, you will notice a difference in your life, I promise you, because I know these BASIC things have a made a difference in my life.
If
you aren't already doing this, whats keeping you from doing these
things? You
just remember that Christ suffered FOR YOU, HE SUFFERED. Let that sink in for a
moment. When we make sacrifices, whatever they may be HE WILL BLESS YOU! I
love being in Brasil, and really being humbled.
I
will write more next week, this week we have interviews and then in about a
week and a half we will find out about transfers. Until, then...
