Week 58  (12/30/19) Feliz Ano Novo “Happy New Year”!!! 😊

Hey Family!

I wrote you a letter on Sister Shocks alphasmart. It isn't working  so I will try to remember what I wanted to say to you all. This past week was Christmas and this week is New Years!  Wow, where has the time gone?

Well believe it or not, its week 6 in the transfer. I feel very blessed by the things that has happened this past week. So on Christmas Eve, they do things a little different here. Normally lunch is big here, but on Christmas Eve they have a big dinner with family, stay up past midnight, and have lots of fireworks.  Some people make Churrasco, which is like BBQ, but  WAAAYYYY better here. Ill have to make it for you when I return home.

Christmas Eve was super calm for us, lots of people that we visited gave us food. So I'm pretty sure between Christmas Eve and Christmas Day I gained like 10 lbs, LOL. With the Spirit of Christmas, it was a great day.

On Wednesday, we had a delicious breakfast with pancakes from Franks Diner. I have been guarding my little syrups for a while. We had a mixture of fruit and natural orange (I'm getting pretty good at making natural juice since our new rule a while back) we had bacon and SPAM (Thank you Grandma) I definitely ate a lot!!

We had a district council meeting that was very spiritual. I was so happy to play the piano and receive the training that we needed. We learned about asking inspired questions, not just any question, but questions that come from on High.

Afterwards we came back to the house and opened presents. I received a pair of earrings from Sister Shock. We had a yummy lunch "almoco" with Irma Cleo and Robson and their daughters. The best part of the day was calling home and then crying when you asked me to say a prayer in Portuguese before we ended our call. This was truly a Christmas to remember.  Before I have to go, I have a question for you. Do you know what happens when its SUPER hot and then decides to rain? HAIL !!!! I know, its crazy weather we have here. Sorry my time is up and got to go. Talk to you next week.

Feliz Ano Novo "Happy New Year"
